A day in the month of March
The freezing cold days left the city leaving a trail of its cool breeze behind, while the summery hot days are on its way to enter the city and wrap us around in its heat.
7: 30 in the morning, the sun was beaming enough to make me open my eyes. Unlike few days back, this time I didn't get myself into a sweater. An hour later or so, went out my house to have a stroll around my place.
The brink of spring is here;
Trees are shedding their leaves;
New lives are blooming;
Sweet smelling scent is swirling around the city;
The gentle cool breeze gathers itself into a rhythmic psithurism, sounding no less than Mozart's symphonies.
And suddenly I get reminded of Frost's 'Nothing Gold Can Stay'.Ā Thoughts of transience occupies my mind as I realise that one day the freshness, the beauty, the innocence will transcend into hazel hued appearances.
As I get back to home, I see a typical Indian middle class household affair. Maa taking out the summer clothes from a suitcase and simultaneously packing winter-clothes in the same suitcase and putting it up in the loft. And that's how we welcome summer every year...Ā
A regular mundane day indeed. But, beauty and joy lies in this mundanity
